Brianda Mireles

B.Arch.

EDUCATION
Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture
Bachelor of Architecture, 2017

Prior to enrolling in the Architecture Program at Illinois Tech, Brianda attended South Suburban Community College on a full-tuition soccer scholarship where she was scouted to play on the Women’s Soccer League at IIT. Brianda has worked on a variety of projects ranging from carpentry in a residence in the upper west side of Chicago, to coordinating the Mies Crown Hall America’s Prize (MCHAP) that recognizes the most distinguished architectural works built on the North and South American continents.

For the past three years, Brianda has been an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology teaching the summer high school course ‘Experiment in Architecture’. Currently, Brianda is an intern architect for von Weise Associates where she has been since 2017.

Brianda is a curious mind looking to hone in on the interplay between individuals and their surroundings and how architecture shapes people and their actions. When she’s not busy coming up with a new personal project, she’s probably cooking, working out or spending time with her family and friends.
