Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, 2002

Prior to joining vWA in February 2006, Charles’ architectural experience in Chicago began with Domenella Architects and Nagle Hartray Danker Kagan McKay Penney.  Before making the leap to Chicago in 2003, he worked throughout his education at design firm Robert Maschke Architects in Cleveland, Ohio.  His portfolio ranges in project type, design strategy, experience, and includes both renovation and new construction.

Conscious that design needs to be relevant and appropriate, with such considerations as environment, technology and concept, Charles also reaches to other parts of the design community.  He has submitted to a variety of competitions, displayed furniture for a gallery opening, and has been a guest critic for Kent State and the visiting Virginia Tech studio in Chicago.
