The design for this 20,000 square foot office created a place that sponsored unity between the departments and reflected the company’s purpose and mission.

The Quixote Corporation is dedicated to creating highway transportation safety products. The company’s repetoire includes everything from crash barriers to cutting edge meteorological measuring and sensing devices. As a holding company, the corporate offices include a broad range of departments that have limited interaction internally.

Materials familiar to the highway experience, steel and concrete, are strategically placed to frame a custom glass wall. Within the glass, an orange dot pattern is rendered with varying levels of opacity, making an optical reference to “retro-reflectant” properties found in traffic lights, road signs and markers. The conference rooms, dispersed throughout the office, are paired with comfortable seating areas available to the staff for informal meetings or impromptu conversations.
