Grace Whittington

Grace is a designer whose work bridges architecture, interior design, and community engagement. Originally from Champaign, Illinois, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.

During her time at WashU, Grace worked as a CityStudioSTL Fellow and Grand Center Fellow with the Office for Socially Engaged Practice, collaborating on community-driven design initiatives across St. Louis. She also gained hands-on experience in fabrication as a digital fabrication technician at both of her academic institutions, where she supported design-build projects and developed skills in digital and manual making processes. Grace’s professional work spans multifamily housing, public institutions, and corporate interiors. She approaches each project with a strong attention to detail and context and an emphasis on place-based design.
