Beginning his work as a shop assistant with a jewelry maker, John worked on digital design and the fabrication of quality details. His next position was at a small firm in Chicago. With this experience, John moved on to a larger firm to assist in developing commercial projects through to construction. While there, he worked on projects focused on the East Coast and in creating efficiency in the construction document phase.

Since the summer of 2014 he has been involved in teaching ‘Experiment in Architecture’ at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. He started as an assistant in 2014 and became a Lead instructor in the summer of 2016. Currently, John is an architectural intern for von Weise Associates where he has been since 2016.
John is a concert goer and a maker. He is currently working on furniture for his apartment, tuning up his bicycles, getting the perfect IPA out of his homebrew system, and making the perfect batch of cookies.
